ramble ramble ramble
Oh well, i bet the Chelsea VS Barcelona Champions League semi finals on thursday morning is the hottest topic among soccer fans now. my alarm went off at 2.25am, 5mins before the match starts and i went downstairs with a huge headache due to lack of sleep in my pyjamas, hoping that the rain would stop soon(heavy rain cuts my cable D:) I purposely scheduled my driving pre-test on thursday morning so that i have an excuse to come back to malaysia to watch this match. Was rather disappointed by the unjust refereeing, missed chances and barcelona who didnt keep their promise to "show Chelsea how to play artistic football". Apparently they only had 1 shot on target which is unfortunately, the 1 goal that led them to the Champions League Finals. YUCKS. Messi was silenced, like he was watching the game instead of playing, Eto'o likewise. They basically looked like some lost players trying to feel their way ard and i was particularly irritated by Alves by his ridiculous shots and whinnings. The refereeing is of course the main point of discussion, where the 4 penalties that should have been awarded and i was seriously puzzled why Abidal(Barcelona) was sent off - i was mentally screaming at the referee. So it was down to 10men and many felt that we should have been more daring in attacking but one has to understand, this is Barcelona we're playing and this is the semifinals of the Champions League. Any smart coach would know that defense is important when playing a team who has scored countless goals and named Best in Europe. But i was surprised by Hiddink's decision to sub Drogba for another defender when JT and Alex were doing an excellent job of keeping Barcelona out. Until the 92th min when Barcelona scored and trashed our dreams of whipping ManUtd's butt in Rome. YUCKS. Drogba's reactions after the match was understandable but unacceptable and KUDOS to JT and Lampard for their respect and dignity.
All in all, we had an awesome team, awesome coach, awesome spirit but failed to make full use of the chances and alittle unlucky. The referee cant be totally blamed for our loss, but pls do smth abt his refereeing. The i-accidentally-sent-off-Abidal-by-mistake-so-i'm-making-up-by-not-giving-Chelsea-their-penalties reason is total bullshit. Make him go back to school or smth.
OHWELL, i can almost see ManUtd raising the Champions League Cup once again, since Barcelona is facing injuries and match bans. Their battered defence is no match for ManUtd's tankers and missiles. Would like to see how ManUtd stop Messi, Eto'o and Henry and how Barcelona's tattered defence can hold Ronaldo and Rooney. Ohoh, and the Ronaldo VS Messi discussion about who is the most talented player can maybe come to a conclusion. Even though i'm a die-hard Chelsea fan, i would prefer watching ManUtd play Barcelona instead of Chelsea in the finals - not that i dont want to see Chelsea whip ManUtd's butt or see JT score a header to makeup for his penatly miss last seaon. It's when you're not biased that you can really enjoy and appreciate the game. May 27 is a wednesday - i have to go think about another reason to come back to malaysia.

1. Went for my driving pre-test ystd and they couldnt find my particulars, hence i had to wait for 1 and a half hrs for the test. The test took me 10mins. ARGH.
2. I have a new maid and my dad calls her Pepsi cause her name is so difficult to pronouce. It sounds like nose shit in chinese. And my mom just found out that she has 4 children back in Cambodia even though her particulars says she's single.
3. I've been watching so much teevee and facing com for so long that i worry for my eyes.
4. My dad's renting our hse at Leisure Farm to some British pple and we're meeting them on Saturday. Dont know why but i'm excited about it.
5. I still havent heard from NUS yet. Last night i dreamt that i was accepted into NUS School of Neurology. LOL.
6. NTU tea-party on Saturday, going with Samantha. Biological Sciences. The thought of travelling on a Saturday disgusts me.
